Dow Europe GmbH Announces Price Increase for Polyethylene Resins

Horgen, Switzerland - March 20, 2007

Effective April 1, 2007, or as contract terms allow, Dow will increase prices in Europe by 60 Euros per metric ton for all grades of its low-density polyethylene (LDPE) resins and high -density polyethylene (HDPE) resins, DOWLEX™ polyethylene resins,  ATTANE™  ultra low density polyethylene (ULDPE) copolymers,  ELITE™ enhanced polyethylene resins and ASPUN™ fiber grade resins.

Dow continues to experience very strong demand for polyethylene resins in Europe and around the world. In addition, feedstock prices related to the production of polyethylene  have increased from an already high level at the start of the first quarter. Based on these conditions and declining inventory levels Dow Europe GmbH is announcing this price increase across the European region for all polyethylene resins.
