Dow Europe GmbH Announces Price Increase for Polyethylene Resins

Horgen, Switzerland - February 21, 2007

Effective March 1, 2007, or as contract terms allow, Dow will increase prices in Europe by 60 Euros per metric ton for all grades of its low-density polyethylene (LDPE) resins and high -density polyethylene (HDPE) resins, DOWLEX™ polyethylene resins, ATTANE™ ultra low density polyethylene (ULDPE) copolymers, ELITE™ enhanced polyethylene resins and ASPUN™ fiber grade resins.

Dow continues to experience strong demand for polyethylene resins whilst the raw material and energy costs related to the production of polyethylene remain high. Based on these conditions, Dow Europe GmbH is announcing this price increase across the European region for all polyethylene resins.
