AMPLIFY Functional Polymers
The Dow Chemical Company’s (Dow) new line of AMPLIFY™ functional polymers offers you an opportunity to bring differentiated products to market before your competitors, giving you the edge – the ability to capture more value while exceeding the needs of your customers. How? By adding functionality and thus enhanced performance to:
- Compounding/polymer modification
- Thermoplastic powder coatings
- Adhesive/tie layers
- And more…
We at Dow refer to AMPLIFY polymers as "functional polymers" because each of these innovative new polyolefin products has been specifically engineered to meet unique end-use requirements or characteristics and bring premium value to niche applications. Dow designed AMPLIFY functional polymers to offer exceptional:
- Adhesion
- Flexibility
- Corrosion-, abrasion- and impact-resistance
AMPLIFY EA Functional Polymers
These ethylene-ethyl acrylate (EEA) copolymers are easy to process, have superior pigment retention and feature functional adhesion to various substrates including metal, polyolefins, cellulose, polyester, polycarbonate, polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), glass, and foil. They are ideal for applications such as polymer modification, adhesives, tie-layers, compatibilizers, and binders.
AMPLIFY GR Functional Polymers
These maleic anhydride (MAH) grafted polyolefins offer excellent adhesion to nylon and EVOH, as well as metal, polyolefins, cellulose, polyester, polycarbonate, glass, and foil. They are ideal for use as adhesives and tie layers in traditional food packaging applications and pipe coatings, and also in thermoplastic powder coatings, impact modification, modulus control, and glass-filled composites.
